We are pleased to reintroduce our Premium i (+)Auto – THE innovation in our Premium e-bike series. This e-bike has been engineered to provide your customers with a superior riding experience, with advanced features that make cycling easier and more comfortable than ever before.
The Premium i (+)Auto automatically adapts to the cycling behaviour of the rider and the environment, instead of the user having to adapt to the bike. This e-bike was created from a collaboration between QWIC, Bafang and enviolo, resulting in a seamless automated shifting system.
This stepless automatic technology, called enviolo’s AUTOMATiQ provides a revolutionary cycling experience. To get it road-ready, the customer sets the cadence to his or her preference once via the display on the handlebar. From then on, the bike does the rest: downshifting at traffic lights, upshifting on a descent and extra motor power in headwinds. Shifting gears is literally taken out of your hands; there is not even a shift lever on the handlebars. With this, QWIC offers an e-bike that puts the user first and adapts to the personal preferences of the cyclist.

How does automatic shifting work?
The hub contains rotating planets (balls) that allow and infinite number of gears. This variable transmission is called Continuously Variable Planetary (CVP) transmission.
This allows fluid shifting between all possible gear ratios. This means you don’t have to shift between different gears. Instead, the CVP automatically adapts to the driving speed and power required by adjusting the gear ratio. As a result, you experience a smooth and seamless riding experience with no interruptions in power transmission.
In our experience, it usually takes routine cyclists about 10 km on average to get used to the bike’s automatic gearshift, similar to someone who is used to shifting gears in a car and then switches to an automatic, still looking for the gearshift at the highway exit.

Because the bike is always in the correct gear, the chain and gears have less wear, resulting in a longer life of the bike and less maintenance costs.
